NORTHWOOD AND PINNER LIBERAL SYNAGOGUE (NPLS) is an independent Liberal and Progressive congregation, a registered charity number 243618 and is a member of Liberal Judaism. 

NPLS is an inclusive community and welcomes all Jews and non-Jewish spouses and partners and their children. We encourage all men, women and children to play a full and equal role in our communal life.

NPLS was founded in 1964 by 30 families and it has now grown to some 1100 adults and approximately 300 children and junior members under 18 years of age.

Originally based in Pinner, the community moved to premises in Hallowell Road Northwood in 1966 and to the present purpose built premises in 1980.

We are governed by a Council of members who are elected at an Annual General Meeting and who serve a two-year term of office. The Council elects the Chairman Vice-Chairman Treasurer and Hon Secretary annually.

Rabbi Aaron Goldstein is the Senior Rabbi and he is assisted by Rabbi Hillel Athias-Robles. The Emeritus Rabbi, Dr Andrew Goldstein (father of Rabbi Aaron) provided rabbinic Leadership from 1965 to 2008.
